Game Developers Association of the Philippines (GDAP) in partnership with CG Arts Japan is set to localize a Japanese Digital Arts Certification. The objective of this certification is to increase the quality of technical art, particularly 3D art, that is accepted worldwide. GDAP is in the process of translating a text book that will be a part of the training and when the trainees pass the test, they are awarded with the certification. In line with this, GDAP will scout and screen for ten people that will be sent to Japan for two weeks to undergo the same training. Once their training is done, they will be sent back to the Philippines to train local game developers and artists as a form of knowledge transfer. More details on this project soon.
